Hello! My name is Jennifer Doehring.

I'm part German and part Native American author- illustrator of children's books.

Born and raised on the West Coast, I received my fine art degree from the University of California- Irvine, and I own an art studio called Palette Passions, where I teach painting and drawing to students of all ages. My work is shown and sold in galleries locally and internationally, as well as online.

I have a passion for travel. I enjoy learning about other cultures and have traveled to over thirty countries. I also may be a teensy bit obsessed with nature. If I'm being honest, I could live out in the woods and be perfectly happy. Backpacking is one of my favorite things to do and I enjoy incorporating elements of nature in my illustrations for children.

In both my writing and my art, I strive for humor and a touch of curious whimsy to my characters, knowing the world can throw plenty of struggle and worry our way. I believe that through funny, charming, and heartfelt illustrations and stories, I can connect with children and adults alike.

I'm represented by Sorche Fairbank of Fairbank Literary and am a member of the Society of Children's Books Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) and the Authors Guild.

Cheers!
